Cauliflower with yellow cheese and boiled ham
Products for 4 portions
Ingredients:
• 1 large head of cauliflower (1.3 kg)
• 25 g butter
• 25 g flour
• ½ l milk
• 150 g grated yellow cheese
• 3 tbsp. whole-grain mustard
• 6 pieces of Tandem boiled ham
Preparation
1. Chop the cauliflower and boil for 10 minutes in salted water or until soft. Strain and place in a deep baking dish.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the Béchamel sauce in a pan heated to medium heat. Melt the butter, add the flour and stir for about a minute. Add the milk in a thin stream and stir until it is completely absorbed by the flour and the sauce becomes uniform and smooth. Boil until it thickens while stirring constantly. Add 100 g of yellow cheese and half of the ham cut into strips. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Pour the sauce over the cauliflower. Sprinkle with the remaining yellow cheese and ham. Bake the dish in a preheated oven until the cheese is melted and the ham turns golden.
