Meat roll with Stara Planina Tandem minced meat
Products for 8 portions
900 g Tandem minced meat
1 onion
80 g breadcrumbs
100 ml milk
1 carrot
1 stalk of celery
3 cloves of garlic
5-6 sprigs of fresh parsley
1 tbsp. tomato paste
2 large eggs
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
For coating:
100 ml ketchup
2 tbsp. molasses
½ tsp. salt
Preparation
Put the minced meat in a bowl, add the finely chopped onions, celery and carrots.
Add the breadcrumbs and eggs, the finely chopped parsley, the tomato paste, the blended garlic, the Worcestershire sauce and the milk. Season with salt and pepper and knead the minced meat. Leave it for 30 minutes so the flavours mix well.
In a greased tray, shape the minced meat into a tight roll.
Add olive oil, salt and molasses to the ketchup and stir.
Coat the roll with 2/3 of the mix and bake for 45 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
Coat with the remaining ketchup and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
Remove the roll from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Serve with roasted vegetables.
